This wasn't a good idea. That looks like a flood. And more importantly, there wasn't a support vehicle on the other hand which could lend a winching cable for support. He just got it out in the last strike of luck I guess.

Seriously though, that's why I want them to bring the overseas ranger to the US.
His biggest issue was clearing the bank on the other side to get out, made it across pretty fine.
